Miyako Kagaku recognizes that each employee is an irreplaceable and most important management resource, and hereby declares its commitment to promoting health management as follows:

1. Health awareness
Miyako Kagaku considers the health of its employees and their families to be an important management issue, and believes that the vitality of its employees is the vitality of the company, so we strive to improve the health awareness of our employees.

2. Actions toward health management
Miyako Kagaku actively supports and promotes initiatives to maintain and improve the health of our employees and their families, aiming to achieve health management.

3. Responsibility to society and the future
Miyako Kagaku aims to contribute to society and achieve sustainable growth through healthy corporate management with healthy employees.

Health and Productivity Management Promotion System

As part of the Chori Group's health and productivity management initiative, Miyako Kagaku has formulated a health declaration and established a Health and Productivity Management Promotion Committee, chaired by the executive in charge of administrative departments, to work toward maintaining and improving employee health. The Human Resources and General Affairs Department, Chori Health Insurance Association, and Safety and Health Committee work together to undertake a variety of activities to promote health and productivity management.

 

The Health Management Promotion Committee analyzes the health checkup results and lifestyle habits of employees working at Miyako Kagaku, identifies health issues, and implements promotion activities.

Health issues and policies

Miyako Kagaku Industry works with the Chori Health Insurance Association to continually address the following five health issues:

1. Increase the rate of health checkups for employees and their families

2. Initiatives for subjects at risk of developing severe lifestyle-related diseases

3. Early detection and treatment of cancer

4. Promoting responsible drinking

5. Promoting smoking cessation and reduction

Examples of initiatives

①Improvement of health checkup content

Employees aged 30 and over 35 undergo a half-day medical check-up every year, with the cost covered entirely by the company.

We are thoroughly encouraging those who have not yet been examined to get examined, in order to achieve a 100% examination rate.

② Efforts to encourage family members to undergo health checkups

Subsidies are available for the medical examination costs of spouses aged 35 or older.

We are individually encouraging those who have not yet received a medical examination to do so in order to increase the rate of examinations.

Target consultation rate for fiscal year 2024: 90% (100% for patients + 80% for family members)

③ Smoking cessation support system

Regardless of whether you are successful in quitting smoking, we support you in quitting by fully covering medical expenses incurred at smoking cessation clinics.

Other examples of initiatives

Work hour management and vacation acquisition initiatives

We are committed to complying with the Article 36 Agreement, reducing long working hours, and thoroughly managing working hours appropriately.

In addition to the statutory annual paid leave, we also provide seasonal leave (5 days per year) and a special leave (5 consecutive days) as a reward for long-term service, in order to maintain and improve health and enable employees to come to work in the best possible physical and mental condition.

We have been certified as a KENKO Investment for Health Excellent Corporation for five consecutive

years since 2020.
